Fox dip server from Target = make-up/ jewelry organizer

I have found the best way to organize my make-up and jewelry is using vintage dishes and bowls. Instead of throwing it all in a drawer, organize by product in glass or ceramic vases, bowls, glasses, or coffee mugs! Put the dishes on open shelves so you can actually see items you have, making it much easier to find a product rather than digging through a drawer or make up bag! Most likely you can shop your own house for containers from the kitchen or closet and repurpose to organize make-up and toiletries!

pair of old jeans (skinny or straight leg)

Use scissors edge to scrape jeans in same place until distressed look is achieved, (I actually did this while wearing the jeans, which i suggest only if scissors are dull)
Repeat as desired
once distressing is achieved put  Jeans on and mark desired length of cuff and cut
cuff and iron to keep fold in place
These jeans can be dressed up with a simple pair of pumps or down with a good flat or sneaker wedge!

NOTE: The older the jeans, the more worn, and easier to distress.
The Jeans I used here are 5 years old, found in the bottom of my closet! If you don't have an old pair, thrift it!

2013, the year of the Juicer
I jumped on the bandwagon

Thanks to my weakness for TJ Maxx clearance (which suckered me into buying a Juicer a few years back) I was prepared. When I realized all of the benefits of juicing, I started incorporating it into my weekly routine, now I juice as much as I can, especially during these winter months. Getting extra vitamins and antioxidants help fight off all the germs in the air, and effects  of the bipolar weather of the midwest!
If you are starting to feel under the weather, or down from the weather this immune boosting juice will get you feeling back to normal!

vitamin D
vitamin C
garlic- strengthens/boosts immune system
ginger- fights against colds, eases stomach ache and is full of antioxidants

peel ginger root by scraping gently with the edge of a spoon, using a knife is too sharp and will cut off the root with the skin.

1 bunch of carrots
1 lemon, peeled
4 oranges, peeled
1/2-1" ginger root
1-2 garlic cloves

BRASS is Back
 and I love it
Mix in some matte black, brass and natural elements for an eclectic but glam space!
Inspired by these sleeping fox S/P shakers from Target, and in theme of the big cotton bowl tonight I put together some favorite brass and black picks for a glam bar area including some vintage Mizzou art!
